MEINE VAGINA LIEBT MICH

Short film, 2014

Eight vulvas: contemplative, poetic, angry, humorous. One aspect unites them: joyously, courageously and smilingly they sit down in front of the camera and proclaim their messages. The topics are both simple and profound, and at the same time critical of society: vulvas are diverse, they are beautiful and they want to be treated with respect! Female sexuality needs to lived in a self determined and liberated way! The female sex is active, it has needs, wishes and feelings. Hidden beneath prescribed clothes, discriminated against and loaded with shame by society, today it is as important as in the past, to listen to the concerns of vaginas, to praise and to celebrate them and to show them the respect they deserve.
In this short film the vulvas show themselves full of self confidence, and with this film everyone should be inspired to think about their relation to vaginas and to see them with new eyes.
